St Austell Brewery is supporting Cornwall’s talented cricketers this summer as part of a new cricket stump sponsorship with the Brewery’s flagship ale Tribute and Cornwall Cricket Board. Tribute is now the official beer of Cornwall Cricket.
The famous Tribute branding will be on the stumps of adult cricket clubs across the county this season while the sponsorship fee will be distributed amongst the clubs who sign-up to help them with their running costs. This is fantastic support for adult cricket in Cornwall.
The Dales Motors Cornwall Group is supporting Cornish Cricket this summer with a range of initiatives. Dales, which operates five franchises at four sites in the Truro, Falmouth and Redruth areas, will be sponsoring a “six hitting” competition throughout the League season. The batsman who hits the most sixes will be awarded the Dales Cup at the season’s end and Dales will also be providing a new Vauxhall Viva car for the Cornwall Cricket annual raffle – the prize will be drawn on 17 September. As part of the partnership, Dales will have the opportunity to showcase some of its new Vauxhall, Renault, Dacia, Seat and Suzuki cars during matches at some of the county’s cricket grounds throughout the summer.
Simon Menneer, CEO of the Cornwall Cricket Board commented “We are delighted to be partnering with Dales. Not only will the sponsorship fee provide much needed financial support to our Club network, the initiative also provides Dales with the opportunity to connect with over 5,000 potential new customers within the Cornish cricketing family. I am particularly looking forward to the “six hit” competition which I think will excite players and supporters across the county.”
